CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE KEDARNATH TEMPLE…….2020

A religious ceremony is performed, followed by Hindu Panchang to decide the opening and closing dates of Char Dham Yatra. Chardham Shrines blesses the devotees with their presence every year in the month of April- May. However, the dates of the portals are decided by Chardham temple Committee after consulting the priest. Opening dates of the shrines varies for Astrological reasons. Opening date for the Kedarnath Dham is declared by the priests in Ukhimath’s Omkareshwar Temple. The holy shrine of Lord Shiva is moved from Kedarkhand to Ukhimath and reinstalled in Kedarnath after Gudi Padwa and Akshay Tritiya.
